Koç University

Koc University is an institution of higher education founded in 1993 and located in Istanbul, Turkey. The University is committed to excellence in research and provides state of the art research facilities and intellectual environment to support research. Koc University’s Department of International Relations is one of the top programs in Turkey and it is highly integrated into international collaborative research frameworks. The Department has a high-level of expertise in European Studies, Political Economy, Conflict Resolution, and Migration Studies. The Department runs two active research centers, the Center for Globalization and Democratic Governance (GLODEM), and the Migration Research Center (MireKoc). GLODEM was established in November 2004 to conduct academic and policy-oriented research. The purpose of GLODEM is to analyse dynamics of domestic and international economic and political interactions relevant to its three areas of expertise: globalization and political economy; peace and conflict resolution; and democratic governance.
